The spring meeting of the Wolverine Chapter will be held at noon on Saturday, May 14, 2011. We will meet at Walli’s Restaurant, 1341 S. Center Rd. in Burton, MI, 48509. Take the S. Center Rd exit north from I69. The restaurant is on the east side of S. Center Road. Contact Char Ackerman if you plan to attend. Anyone who has been bitten by the Red Wing “bug”, regardless of the type of infection: stoneware, dinnerware, art pottery or any combination thereof, is invited to join us for an afternoon of friendship and story telling. If possible, bring an item for “show and tell”. Hearing the story behind a piece is as fun as seeing it. |

Before we know it, July will be here and Red Wing collectors from every corner of our country will make the annual trek to Red Wing, MN, for the 35th annual convention of the Red Wing Collectors Society. If you have never attended, try to fit it into your schedule. Convention officially kicks off on Thursday, July 7, but the first part of the week is filled with activities from the famed Forth of July fireworks to the Pottery Place parking lot sale. The Thursday night members only auction always brings surprises. Seminars on Friday educate everyone. Saturday brings the Show and Sale. Bring the kids...there is something every day for them as well. |
